    Clara Mersereau sits up straight on a couch in the Family Room of the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay, her hands folded neatly on her knees. To her right sits her husband Bill, a kindly man who is her caregiver and cheerleader. To her left is daughter Jo-Ann with a ready smile and a head for detail. Clara is here to tell her story. She is hesitant at first but quickly warms up to talk about her goal in life: “I want the stigma of Alzheimer’s to go away.”
