Spring 2020 Community Fund – CLOSED
As the global situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, Tbaytel is making sure that the Tbaytel for Good Community Fund is right there to continue to support community members, organizations and local businesses that need it.
With schools being closed in favour of e-learning and many community organizations currently postponing their operations, we expected the call for project submissions for the Tbaytel Community Fund spring campaign would be difficult. In reaction, we are excited to announce that the spring campaign will take on a new format to provide immediate community support in three different ways, to give back to those in need while still encouraging community members to participate and raise awareness for inspiring people in northern Ontario.

How does it work?
Tbaytel has made a $5,000 donation to the Regional Food Distribution Association to support its continued efforts to meet the increase in demand for services due to COVID-19.
We have partnered with the Thunder Bay District Social Services Administration Board to deliver smartphones, along with voice and data plans to keep some of our most vulnerable community members connected at this critical time. Public Wifi is also being provided for five of the organization’s housing complexes, to bring Tbaytel’s support of TBDSSAB to over $27,000.
We have launched a social media campaign to give away $20,000 in gift certificates from locally owned restaurants in Thunder Bay and the region to those that share inspiring “For Good” stories or by nominating their “Neighbhourhood Hero”.
Tag Tbaytel in your posts about a Neighbourhood Hero. Your story could earn your hero a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
